“But our trip was different. It was a classic affirmation of everything right and true and decent in the national character. It was a gross, physical salute to the fantastic possibilities of life in this country-but only for those with true grit. And we were chock full of that.” ― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas You showed me a world that I didn’t know existed; another side of life that I thought unachievable. You shared with me a part of your life that involved relationships built upon love and fun. You taught me to appreciate all points of view and believe in people and me. You pushed me to aspire to be all that I could be. You taught me some big words when I was 13 years old and I now know what they all mean. Love you, miss you. I will hold your hand forever.
